Chick-fil-A operator 9 yrs

Tammy has both military and business ownership experience that make her well suited to provide education and perspective to veterans pursuing a franchise.

Tammy has spent the better part of her career supporting the military. After obtaining her master’s degree from Texas A&M University, she married an Air Force civilian. Her husband took a position overseas at Rhein Main AB, GE, where she joined civil service as an Air Force Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Health Promotion Specialist. After spending 15 years in Population Health positions in Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities and with Air Force Medical Services Agency, Tammy took a position as a  Population Health Analyst at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio. She began working with clinical process improvement projects and eventually obtained her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications. She moved to Army MEDCOM Strategy Management Office as the Sr Strategic Planner and Command Master Black Belt. She managed the organizational performance scorecard, enterprise change management initiatives, and process improvement projects. She also instructed ongoing Black Belt certification courses and coached Black Belt candidates.

Tammy separated from civil services when her husband was selected as a Chick-fil-A owner/operator. Together, they operated the franchise for nearly nine years with consistent revenue growth and exceptional customer service. They earned the top corporate sales award for 18% growth in sales in one year and the top resource management award for best operational KPIs year over year.

Tammy joined Vetrepreneur® to continue to serve others by helping our veterans understand franchising and become business owners. She resides in the Houston area with her husband, George. Tammy is also a John Maxwell certified life coach.
