Is the Franchise Academy program free?

Our franchise coaching services are 100% free and it won’t cost you any less by going direct to a franchise. Similar to having a real estate agent, we are paid by franchisors if and when you become a franchisee.

Can I bring my spouse or partner with me?

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your spouse or partner, even if they will not be part of the day-to-day activities, as you’ll most likely be making decisions together. Additionally, you can bring in a cosigner or partner(s) to join your venture. Having multiple stakeholders, such as groups of veterans, family members, or any combination thereof, who are deeply invested in the business’s success often increases the likelihood of achieving high levels of success. The best part is, you can all engage in discussions with your coach collectively, ensuring everyone is aligned and contributing to the business’s prosperity.

How do I access program materials?

Program materials will be available online and accessible anytime.

What if I miss a session?

All sessions are recorded and available for later viewing.

If I start the Academy process, am I obligated to go through the whole process of buying a franchise?

Business ownership is not for everyone. In fact, it’s not for most people. So you are free to exit the process at any point with no obligation.

Can I get a list of franchises?

An important part of the Vetrepreneur Franchise Coaching process is matching you with Franchises that align with you in four areas: lifestyle desires, professional skills, geographical preferences and financial capacity. Our process ensures that you spend valuable time exploring franchises that are best suited for long term success and that you are guided and educated at every step along the journey. Conversely, shortchanging our process by going to a “franchise buffet” wastes everyone’s time and does a disservice to both the prospective franchisee as well as the franchisor.

What types of franchises and industries do you work with?

We offer a wide range of franchise opportunities to suit your needs, whether you’re interested in a home-based, brick-and-mortar, or mobile franchise. Our extensive portfolio includes options across 15 major industries, ensuring you’ll find something that aligns perfectly with your goals and resources.

Do I need experience or need to be an expert in a specific area first?

What you DON’T need to get started.

You don’t need to be an expert. (Example: You don’t need to be an electrician to run an electrical franchise)
You don’t need a business degree or experience
You don’t need an idea for a start-up business

The franchisor will provide comprehensive training on everything you need to know to be successful in the business, along with ongoing training and support. Additionally, similar to the camaraderie in the military, franchisees can rely on one another for advice and support within the franchise system.

Who is this Franchise Academy program for?

Veterans and military spouses looking to transition into entrepreneurship with the goal of owning and operating a franchise business.

To qualify for working with a franchise coach and enroll into the franchise academy, you should meet the following criteria:

Credit Score: Maintain a credit score of 680 or higher.
Liquid Capital: Have at least $20,000 in liquid capital available for investment.
Net Worth: Possess a net worth of at least $50,000.
Timeline: Be prepared to open your franchise within the next 12 months.

Once you meet these qualifications, you’re ready to engage with a franchise coach and enroll into the Academy program. To kick-start the process, simply fill out the form provided above to attend the next Franchise Academy orientation.

Liquid capital encompasses cash, savings, money market accounts, retirement funds, stocks, or mutual funds that can be converted into cash within 7 days.
Net worth is calculated as the total value of your assets minus your total liabilities. Include items like your home, real estate, investments, vehicles, retirement accounts, bonds, stocks, cash, and other valuable assets. Deduct any outstanding mortgages, loans, credit card debt, or other liabilities from your total assets.
